I am a Montessori Teacher and opened my Home Daycare Program about four years ago. Our program is for Preschoolers and Kindergarten aged children. Our day begins with Circle Time, some Montessori lessons and work period and our day includes themed activities, nutritious snacks and lunch, Outdoor Play or Gym Class and time for play and storytime. Today, I am sharing our School Schedule!
Our Daily School Schedule:
8:00-8:20: Drop off
8:20: Our day begins & washroom breaks
8:30-8:45: Circle – attendance, calendar (Good Morning greeting, date, season, weather and theme)
8:45-9:45: Montessori Work: Lessons in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math and Culture
9:45-10:15: Morning snack & washroom breaks
10:15-11:15: Outdoor Play OR Gym Class indoors (based on weather)
11:15-11:30: Washroom breaks and prep for Lunch
11:30-12:00: Lunch
12:00-12:15: Washroom breaks
12:15-1:45: Nap time and/or Quiet Activities
1:45-2:45: Themed Activities/Art and/or finish up work from a.m.
3:00-3:30: Afternoon snack & washroom breaks
3:30-3:45: Storytime and discussion of our day
3:45-4:30: Free Play
4:30-4:45: Tidy up, washroom and prep for pick up
5:00: Centre closes
